What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected into the skin and used to plump, smooth the face or enhance facial contours and symmetry. Dermal fillers that we provide in The Holland Park Dentist is hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a natural substance found in our body.

Areas that can be treated are:

Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (Nasiolabial folds, marionette lines, smile lines, Mouth corners)
Cheek Augmentation
Lip Enhancement
Smooth out a chin crease
Improve symmetry

What to expect during treatment? /What happens during the procedure? / How does the process work?

Dermal filler injections are non-surgical procedure which is completed during an office visit. Initially, your treatment will begin with a consultation, during which you will discuss your concerns and goals.

Pre-treatment consultation

During your consultation, we will evaluate your area of concern and review your medical history to make sure you are suitable, and we can proceed with administering the hyaluronic acid.

Dermal filler treatment

The injection area will be cleaned and numbed using a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) prior to the injection. Then the injection will be done using a fine needle, so you won’t experience any discomfort, or you may experience a very minor degree of discomfort.

How long do the results last?

The effects of dermal fillers can vary depending on the product, the area of treatment and the patient. Overall, Hyaluronic acid fillers will last from 6 to 18 months. We can simply repeat treatment or adjust the amount as necessary to maintain and ensure your favourable results.

After calling up around 20-30 dental practices none were able to take me in as a new patient, due to Covid. till I called Smile Style, Sara (the receptionist) was very kind to have a word with the doctor and was seeing on the same day, the Doctor was very gentle since I have sore gums, I couldn’t be any happier! Dr. Aron Balkin and his team are fantastic! i had an issue that i wanted immediate attention. i called in the afternoon and i was given an appointment the following day. i was most impressed with thoroughness in which Dr. Aron checked out the issue. in addition to his own assessment, he contacted 2 specialist who concurred with his assessment. luckily the issue was benign.My wife and i have both use Smile Style. On every occasion, our expectations were exceeded. Super friendly and excellent service!

Aron is an amazing dentist, I suffered from extreme anxiety due to having awful experiences with previous dentists.Aron was patient with me and made me feel relaxed and ALL of my extensive dental work was carried out in a professional way and was virtually painless.He made me feel confident and explained everything he was doing every step of the way. I found Aron and his team some of the most professional I have ever dealt with. I had a cracked tooth so was grateful that Aron's receptionist booked me in at such short notice and that Aron put the matter to rest immediately.
